It continues to amaze me how Lane has managed to evolve and keep current with technology. How could the school allow students to swim without showering before or after?!! The students who go to Lane are "book smart" but they arrived that way. The neighborhood is safe.My reason for 4 stars and such a good review, compared to other CPS schools Lane deserves 5 stars, but if you compare to Catholic or suburban high schools, Lane is a CPS school and because of problems inherent to CPS, Lane is not immune to certain issues.Due to student based/school based budgeting, even Lane Tech will hire the cheapest and least qualified teacher over a seasoned experienced teacher.
